Biography
Dr William Man is a respiratory and sleep specialist at the Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust, the leading and largest specialist lung and heart centre in the UK with an international reputation for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary disease.
Dr Man sees both NHS and private patients.
He specialises in all aspects of respiratory medicine - namely any condition that affects the lungs. This includes conditions such as chronic cough, breathlessness of unknown origin, COPD/bronchitis/emphysema, asthma, snoring, obstructive sleep apnoea and other sleep disorders, respiratory failure and non-invasive ventilation, oxygen assessment and prescription, lung fibrosis, sarcoidosis, lung cancer, asbestos lung diseases, pneumonia, bronchiectasis, tuberculosis, pulmonary embolism, pleural disease and allergies.
As a recognised international expert, Dr Man is often asked to provide a second opinion for difficult respiratory cases.
Dr Man is actively involved in cutting edge research and the use of new treatments not available outside of specialist departments. His involvement in academic medicine allows him to bring the most up to date specialist treatments to his NHS and private patients.
